Does mixed doubles count toward your NTRP rating?

Short answer: no, unless mixed is all you play.

Mixed doubles results do not generate an adult year-end NTRP rating. The exception is a player whose only recorded play is mixed — they can be rated from it, because there is nothing else to use.

Per USTA's published national regulations.

Why people believe otherwise

Because mixed matches sit in your record alongside everything else. They are real matches against rated opponents, and nothing on your record marks them as excluded. You will also find confident answers in both directions in league forums.

What it means in practice

This catches people out most often in the other direction: a strong mixed season that feels like it should have earned a bump, and did not.
